Before you start to cringe at this trend's surprising revival, hear us out–– seashell accessories have been revised and are back in a sophisticated way. This season, we're seeing the beach-ready motif everywhere from the SS19 runways to our favorite fashion bloggers' Instagrams, in the form of dainty pendant necklaces, gilded hair accessories, statement earrings and rings alike.
Today's versions can be incorporated into anyone's everyday wardrobe. For those with a more classic style, gold shell and pearl iterations are perfectly polished and appropriate. For the adventurous dressers, neon colors or puka shell-adorned sneakers are a fun way to spice things up. And for the minimalists out there, a simple seashell pendant necklace or single cowrie bracelet will do the trick.
Give the trend a try for yourself –– shells are no longer reserved for the 90's era surfer boys anymore.
