As the temperatures creep lower and lower, we all have the urge to throw on an oversized coat and call it a day. But how many times can we use that camel coat as the basis for our outfit without feeling like its the only thing we have hanging in our closet? Tack on the confusing up-and-down climates of fall, and we’re truly left scratching our heads—how can anyone expect us to dress for weather that can run from 40 degrees in the morning to 70 by late afternoon?
Luckily, fall is the perfect time to test out your layering skills by utilizing a few items that are already in your closet (besides that aforementioned trusty coat).
We may be preaching to the choir here, but there’s a finesse to putting the right layers together—it’s a balancing act in avoiding stiff, bulked up sleeves and exposed necklines. We know it can sound elementary, but it's easy to overthink it when you're standing in front of your closet.
