Founded in 1997 by Laura Vinroot Poole, Capitol is a luxury clothing boutique in Charlotte, North Carolina that features designs from Valentino, Marc Jacobs, Balenciaga, Saint Laurent, Dolce & Gabbana and Gucci, along with high-end jewelry and accessories by Marie-Helene de Taillac, Irene Neuwirth and The Gem Palace. Housed in a 6,000 square foot, freestanding store designed by Perry Poole, the shop's signature feature is a spacious courtyard featuring a vegetal wall created by famed French botanist Patrick Blanc.
