Gala season is upon us, and as we all know, nailing that perfect look is priority number one. With so many show-stopping numbers out there, it’s hard to pick just one. Designer gowns cost a pretty penny, after all. Fortunately, we have the answer—let us introduce you to Armarium
We chatted with Trisha Gregory and Alexandra Lind Rose, the brains behind Armarium, about their new venture and how they are making runway style more accessible...
What is Armarium?
Armarium is a luxury styling and rental platform that allows clients to rent current season and from-the-runway looks for a fraction of the retail cost. We also have well trained, in-house stylists to help you get event-ready, or you can hire a stylist from our internationally acclaimed freelance roster, dubbed the 'Style Brigade'.
Who or what inspired you to start your business? We were inspired to offer women more editorial, statement looks that oftentimes aren't found in the market—they are fun to wear for one occasion, and allow you to experiment with new trends and brands.
What are your favorite dress trends for spring? We love anything with a bold print, ruffle, or exaggerated shape—like the denim corseted ballgown Carolina Herrera sent down her Spring 2017 runway!
Who are your favorite up-and-coming designers that should be on our radar? Kris Goyri, Attico, Sophia Kah, and Francesco Sconamiglio—some of these designers are not necessarily up-and-coming, but are lesser known in the U.S. market. We are huge champions of their styles and brand aesthetic for evening wear!
What is the one thing you always do when getting ready for a big event? Get my hair blown out. I have no problem putting together a look, but my hair is another story—it's a necessary luxury! [Trisha]
And when that next formal occasion arises, we want you to be prepared. We had the Amarium team pull a few of their favorite dresses of the season, and paired them alongside some accessories and shoes from House Account. Download the Armarium app and join the Armi—you will be gala ready in no time…
